Mini wraps

Method

  1. Place the tortillas on a board. Mix the mayo with the mustard (optional), divide amongst the tortillas and spread evenly over the tortilla.
  2. Sprinkle lettuce, carrot and capsicum over the tortilla and roll up tightly.
  3. Slice each roll into 6 and secure with a toothpick.

Portions

Ensure portion sizes are appropriate for the age of the children. Serve half the amount for younger children or a smaller portion.

Tips

To make dairy-free and egg-free, replace lite mayo with hummus or avocado.

To make gluten-free, use gluten-free wraps, lettuce cups, corn tortillas or a thin egg omelette.

Note

Children can choke on food at any age but the risk is higher in children under 5 years. Refer to the Ministry of Health Guidelines to find out more. Search ‘food and choking' at health.govt.nz
