Marinated Chicken Drumsticks

An easy chicken drumstick meal that the kids will love.

Marinated Chicken Drumsticks

Method

  1. Mix the marinade ingredients together in a small saucepan; heat gently until the honey has melted.
  2. Place the chicken in a baking dish and pour over the marinade; cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours or longer.
  3. Remove plastic wrap and bake at 180ºC for 30-40 minutes or until the juice runs clear when the drumstick is pierced with a skewer.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds just before serving.

  • 8 chicken drumsticks, skin removed
  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (low salt)
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger (or ground)
  • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon five-spice powder
