Fruit Crumble

A tasty fruit based dessert that children will love to eat!

Fruit Crumble

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°.
  2. Prepare the topping by placining the oats, flour, cinnamon and sugar in a bowl.  
  3. Add the margarine and rub in.
  4. Place the fruit in an ovenproof baking dish; cover with the topping and bake for 20  minutes - the topping should look browned and crisp.
  5. Serve with custard, yoghurt or low-fat ice cream.

You need

  • 3 cups any canned, stewed or bottled fruit such as apples, apricots or plums
  • Crumble Topping
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup wholemeal flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
