An easier and healthier alternative to pastry cases.

Bread Cases

Method

  1. Remove the crusts from the bread and spread slices lightly with margarine.
  2. Cut each slice in half diagonally and place greased side down into muffin trays.
  3. Bake at 200˚C for 5 minutes.
  4. Place a spoonful of the chosen filling (e.g. Vegetable Medley) into each bread case and bake at 200˚C for a further 8-10 minutes or until the filling has set.

 

Portions

Ensure portion sizes are appropriate for the age of the children. This recipe makes 10 cases. 2 cases per standard serve, 1 case per small serve.

  • 1-2 Tbsp margarine
