Blancmange with Berries
Despite the fancy name this dairy dessert couldn't be any more simple.
Method
- Place the first measure of milk in a saucepan with star anise, cinnamon or vanilla, and honey, heat slowly.
- Mix the second measure of milk with the cornflour until smooth.
- When milk in saucepan is just about to simmer, very slowly pour in cornflour mixture and stir constantly until thickened.
- Pour into serving dish and allow to cool.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Place fruit on top and serve.

You need
- 1L milk, reduced fat (1st)
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 2 Tbsp or 1 stick star anise/cinnamon stick or vanilla
- 2 Tbsp honey
- ½ cup cornflour
- 100ml milk, reduced fat (2nd)
- 1 ½ cups fresh berries or chopped fruit
