Black bean dip

A change to traditional hummus, the flavour of the orange comes through in this refreshing dip.

Method

  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth.
  2. Serve in a pottle with fresh vegetable sticks and pita crisps for dipping. It also makes a great spread for sandwiches, rolls and wraps.

You need

  • 2 x 440g cans black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 orange, segmented (peel, pith and core removed)
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and roughly chopped
  • a pinch of chilli powder, optional
  • a pinch of salt
