Baked pita crisps

A great alternative to corn chips.

Baked pita crisps

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Split each pita pocket down the centre to create two rounds.
  3. Lightly brush or spray each round with oil on one side.
  4. Cut each round into 8 triangles or bite sized pieces.
  5. Place on a lined baking tray(s).
  6. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly golden.

Variations

You can also use mini pita pockets for smaller chips or wholemeal tortilla bread.

For different flavours, sprinkle pita triangles with pepper or dried mixed herbs before baking.

  • Vegetable oil or spray
