This summary of the research provides further evidence to back the nutrition support and programmes we offer in schools and early learning services.
Most children spend at least six hours a day at school and eat around one third of their daily nutrient intake during this time. Therefore making healthy food and drinks available within the school environment will significantly contribute to improved nutrition in children and young people, as well as improve their concentration, behaviour and opportunity to learn.
